BRINGING BABY HOME Workshop

Workshop Goals 

  • Learn what to expect during the transition to parenthood.
  • Learn how to strengthen friendship, intimacy and conflict regulation skills.
  • Learn about child development and how to co-parent with your partner.

Workshop Objectives 

  • Demonstrate skills for promoting relationship satisfaction.
  • Explain the signs of postpartum blues and depression.
  • Explain how to meet the psychological needs of a child.
  • Demonstrate how to use conflict regulation techniques.
  • Create a plan for each parent to stay involved.

Workshop Facilitator: Jennifer Lundy-Aguerre, MFT is a certified Gottman Instructor for the Bringing Baby Home program.  Jennifer specializes in helping parents prepare and adjust to their new roles in a supportive and caring environment.

 

TEEN ESTEEM

This group is for high school students (any gender) and will meet weekly for 6 sessions.

Goals for the group are:

  • increase self-awareness, self-esteem, and efficacy through psycho-education, art therapy, and healthy social interactions in a safe environment.

 

ADDRESSING YOUR ANGER - Women's Group 

  • Are you angry, tense or easily irritable?
  • Do you find it difficult to relax?
  • Frequently hostile and disappointed in others?

Anger can be an important tool, but women are frequently taught ineffective ways to deal with anger.  In this dynamic six week course, you will have the opportunity to explore the origins of your anger and understand how to use anger as a tool to create lasting change.  This course will also focus on developing real-world conflict resolution and communication skills.
