Julia (she/her) is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who values authenticity and human connection in the therapeutic process. Her style is warm and collaborative, with an emphasis on meeting clients where they are while gently exploring patterns that may be getting in the way.
Julia earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Human Services from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and completed her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of San Diego. She has experience working with children and adolescents in public school-based settings, young adults experiencing housing insecurity, and adults with severe mental health diagnoses in residential care. She has significant experience supporting clients with chronic suicidality and emphasizes collaboration and safety throughout treatment. Julia works with all ages, couples, and families, supporting clients navigating a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, autism, family conflict, and life transitions.
Her work is trauma-informed and strengths-based, with an integrative approach tailored to each client’s needs. Julia incorporates DBT, Internal Family Systems, Motivational Interviewing, CAMS, mindfulness based, and family systems perspectives to support insight, skill development, and emotional regulation. She is neurodiversity affirming and LGBTQIA+ friendly, and pays careful attention to how identity and lived experience shape the therapeutic process. Julia strives to create a safe, welcoming space where clients can explore challenges at a pace that feels supportive, while building resilience, self-understanding, and confidence.
