(Supervised by Liza Carr, MFT #77128)
Mike Marzoni is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist with experience working with adults, couples, and adolescents. He enjoys working with a wide range of different presenting concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, relational concerns, as well as men’s issues. He is passionate about creating a space where people can be their authentic selves, supporting them through the journey of self-understanding.
Mike grew up in San Diego and is dedicated to serving the community that raised him. He earned his B.S. in Psychology from UC San Diego in 2021, where after graduating, he supported underserved populations of San Diego County in their recovery process. While finishing his Masters at University of San Diego’s Marriage and Family Therapy program, he worked with many people who had never seen a therapist before, finding joy in helping people open up for the first time.
Therapy with Mike is rooted in evidence-based modalities, drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as well as Solutions Focused Therapy. Working with couples, he is passionate about Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT). Beyond treatment modality, Mike believes that therapy is most impactful from a collaborative and tailored approach, taking a nonjudgmental stance on whoever walks through his door.
