Tatum is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who utilizes a relational therapeutic approach that blends trauma-focused, attachment-based, and somatic modalities. She incorporates various interventions from theories such as Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral, Emotion-Focused, Solution-Focused and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She has experience working with adolescents, young adults, adults, and their families on a variety of diagnoses and symptoms. This includes depression, anxiety, self-esteem, relational issues, PTSD, complex trauma, as well as supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Her passion lies in creating a secure and supportive environment. This aids in developing a safe, thoughtful, and therapeutic relationship to set every client up for success. Her goal is to empower clients to gain profound insights, explore their emotions, and acquire the skills to nurture self-compassion. With an interest in somatic awareness, Tatum encourages clients to regulate their nervous system and develop effective coping strategies.
Tatum completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Channel Islands in December 2021. She continued her education at Antioch University, Los Angeles, receiving her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with specialization in psychological trauma in March 2024.
