(Supervised by Jennifer Haggerty, MFT#99313)
Isaiah is a registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor who is passionate about working with adolescents and adults from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences. He is especially motivated to help clients work through difficult experiences, including anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral concerns, life transitions, relationship challenges, and questions surrounding identity and personal growth. He seeks to help clients develop greater self-awareness, build emotional capacity, and recognize their own strengths. Isaiah also has a special interest in men's mental health and working with athletes, while welcoming and valuing clients from all backgrounds and walks of life.
His counseling style is warm and encouraging while also being direct, honest, and reflective. Isaiah strives to create a calm, conversational, and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable being honest and accepted without judgment. He believes therapy should be individualized and uses an integrative and collaborative approach that draws from psychodynamic and strengths-based perspectives, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), trauma-informed care, and a client-centered approach. Isaiah works alongside clients to better understand their experiences, identify patterns and strengths, and establish meaningful goals.
Before becoming a counselor, Isaiah was a collegiate and professional football player, educator, and EMT. These experiences exposed him to adversity, high-pressure environments, personal setbacks, major transitions, and the importance of resilience, teamwork, and meaningful support. They also strengthened his ability to connect with people from different backgrounds and circumstances. Isaiah is also a two-time Guinness World Record holder, reflecting his appreciation for perseverance, preparation, and pushing beyond perceived limitations.
Isaiah earned his Master of Science in Multicultural Clinical Counseling from San Diego State University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Northwest Missouri State University. He became a counselor because he loves helping people overcome adversity, grow through their experiences, and discover who they’re capable of becoming. He believes that even though life can present difficult or unexpected circumstances, people have the capacity to heal, grow, and create meaningful change. His goal is to meet clients where they are, walk alongside them through their challenges, and help them build the insight, confidence, and tools to move forward with greater purpose and fulfillment.
