Linda Tejeda, AMFT
Registered Associate Marriage & Family Therapist #165033
(Supervised by Cristofina Gonzalez, LCSW #22961)
Linda Tejeda (She/Her/Ella), MA, AMFT, is a bilingual therapist who believes that meaningful therapy begins with genuine connection. She strives to create a warm, compassionate and non-judgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and safe. Linda recognizes that the way we cope, relate to others, and understand ourselves are often shaped by our experiences, and she works alongside clients with curiosity and compassion as they explore what they need and where they want to go.
Linda works with teens, adults, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, and life transitions. She is particularly interested in helping clients explore patterns that may no longer serve them, reconnect with their strengths, and develop a greater sense of agency in their lives and relationships. She also values helping clients make space for their own needs and well-being while navigating relationships, responsibilities, and life’s demands.
Linda’s approach is collaborative, compassionate, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. She draws from Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and DBT-informed practices and takes a Gottman-aligned approach to couples work. She is trained in Attachment-Informed EMDR through an EMDRIA-approved program and has training in perinatal mental health through Postpartum Support International, with an interest in supporting clients through pregnancy, postpartum, and the transition into parenthood. Linda incorporates creative and experiential approaches into therapy to support expression, grounding, and regulation, while creating space to explore parts of ourselves and experiences that may be difficult to access through words alone. She also helps clients identify and strengthen internal and external resources they can draw on as they navigate challenges and change.
Linda provides therapy in English, Spanish, and Spanglish. Her background in healthcare and as a counselor supporting survivors of domestic violence has shaped her commitment to trauma-informed and culturally responsive care. She recognizes the importance of culture, family, relationships, and lived experiences in each person’s story.
Linda earned her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University.
Outside of her work, Linda enjoys reading, tending to her growing collection of plants, spending time in nature, and making time for family and friends.
She believes that change is a constant part of life and that we can continue to evolve through the experiences we encounter. She hopes to support clients in meeting change with greater self-compassion, awareness, and confidence.
