(Supervised by Heather Gibson, MFT #97630)
Mina Al Doori is an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor who is passionate about helping children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families navigate life's challenges with greater confidence, resilience, and self-understanding. She believes therapy should be a collaborative and supportive process where clients feel safe, heard, and empowered to create positive change.
Mina supports clients facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, family conflict, behavioral concerns, and life transitions. She has experience supporting neurodivergent children and adolescents, as well as individuals and families navigating cultural transitions, immigration experiences, and identity development.
Mina especially enjoys helping clients develop healthier coping skills, strengthen relationships, build self-confidence, and navigate life's transitions with greater resilience and self-awareness. She strives to create a warm and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel understood and supported throughout the therapeutic process.
Her therapeutic approach is tailored to the unique needs of each client and draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, trauma-informed care, family systems perspectives, and strength-based approaches. With her background in Art Therapy, she also incorporates creative and expressive techniques into the therapeutic process. She believes creativity can be a powerful tool for healing and, when appropriate, uses art-based interventions to help clients explore emotions, build insight, and foster personal growth.
Mina values cultural humility and strives to provide inclusive, affirming care for clients from diverse backgrounds. She offers therapy in both English and Arabic and is committed to helping clients feel seen, respected, and supported throughout their therapeutic journey.
Mina earned her Bachelor's degree in Art Therapy in 2018 and her Master's degree in Counseling Psychology in 2021 from Carlow University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
