Savannah Walton, AMFT, is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who is passionate about helping teenagers, college students, adults, couples, and members of the LGBTQ+ community feel more connected to themselves, their relationships, and their lives. She works with clients navigating anxiety, ADHD, trauma, relationship challenges, emotional overwhelm, phone/social media addiction, life transitions, and the pressure of appearing “high functioning” while internally struggling.
Savannah especially enjoys supporting clients who may look like they are holding everything together on the outside, yet internally feel anxious, disconnected, lonely, stuck, or unsure of who they are underneath the stress and expectations. She is passionate about helping clients build self-compassion, reconnect with their values, develop a stronger sense of identity and purpose, and feel more empowered in their daily lives and relationships.
Her approach is person-centered, collaborative, and grounded in authenticity, trust, and emotional safety. Savannah believes therapy should never feel cold, judgmental, or one-size-fits-all. She values moving at each client’s pace while also helping them make meaningful progress toward the goals that matter most to them. Clients often describe her as calm, warm, grounding, and nonjudgmental.
Savannah understands how vulnerable it can feel to begin therapy or to sit with someone and not feel fully seen or understood. Because of this, one of her greatest priorities as a therapist is helping clients feel less alone in what they are carrying. Rather than positioning herself as the expert on someone’s life, she works alongside clients to better understand their experiences and create healing approaches that feel unique and sustainable for them.
Her work integrates mindfulness, Polyvagal Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and AEDP-informed approaches to support clients in understanding the connection between their nervous system, emotions, relationships, and lived experiences. She is especially passionate about mind-body healing and helping clients reconnect with themselves cognitively, emotionally, and physically.
In addition to her clinical work, Savannah is a certified yoga teacher with a strong passion for nature, embodiment, and holistic wellness. She earned both her Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Master’s degree in Marital and Family Therapy from the University of San Diego. Her background in biology informs her understanding of the physiological and nervous system components of mental health and healing.
Savannah strives to create a therapeutic space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to grow into more authentic, connected versions of themselves.
