My Story:
"As a Client Care Coordinator I assist with matching clients with the clinician that is the best fit. I also help clients determine their insurance or EAP coverage. I graduated from the University of California Riverside with a Bachelors degree in Psychology. Upon completing my Bachelors, I became a Licensed Behavioral Technician. I have had the pleasure of working with clients between the ages of 4-19 years old. As a previous Behavioral Technician, I understand how difficult it can be to take the first steps towards bettering mental health. I am passionate about supporting clients on their journey toward self fulfillment and look forward to helping them start their journey by scheduling. In my free time, I love baking, reading, writing, and painting!"

Jennifer Lundy-Aguerre
MFT & Practice Owner
My Story:
"Jennifer founded Positive Change Counseling Center in 2006. She began seeing clients part-time while working at other mental health programs and quickly grew to love working in a private practice setting where she was able to support her clients with individualized care, rather than a "one treatment fits all" approach. Her experience working with at-risk youth, adults in crisis, veterans, and even her time in a cubicle providing member support for a mental health insurance provider, all helped to shape and create the therapist and business owner that Jennifer has grown to be. From
2009 – 2012 Jennifer worked on a research study utilizing telehealth (video) technology and was amazed at how quickly it began to feel like she was in the same room as her clients. Never in her wildest dreams did she imagine the added value of this experience until the COVID-19 pandemic arrived and our practice had to change from 100% in-person sessions to 100% telehealth overnight! Now Positive Change has grown into four clinic locations throughout San Diego and Ventura counties, offering in-person therapy and telehealth to those in need.
Jennifer is extremely grateful to work alongside such amazing clinicians and incredible support staff at Positive Change Counseling Center. Today she focuses her efforts on hiring highly qualified and compassionate mental health clinicians to provide the best care for our community."
