"I am a San Diego native with a professional background in mental and behavioral health. I have a strong commitment to helping others and making a meaningful impact in people's lives. My most recent position was as a Behavior Technician working directly with children on the autism spectrum. This position helped me form a deep understanding of the issues that affect individuals with behavioral and developmental challenges. This has allowed me to provide evidence-based interventions and support that has helped change lives and improve outcomes. In my free time I enjoy being active member of our community, spending time with family, and exploring all of the beauty and opportunities that San Diego has to offer".

"I am a San Diego native who has worked in customer service for over 10
years. I enjoy opportunities that allow me to meet new people. Helping to
assist others is also important to me. Most recently, I worked in the clinical
field where I assisted the collaboration of support groups to offer a safe
place to share, express feelings and gain support from others who have
experienced infertility. While working in customer service, I have grown a
passion to uplift others, find solutions, and build meaningful relationships.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, creating DIY projects,

"I am a San Diego native who has over 12 years of customer service experience. I got the opportunity to work in the behavioral health field in April 2021 where I really found my passion and desire to help people. Making a difference in someone’s day - even the least bit - is so fulfilling and rewarding to me. I really enjoy interacting with new people and relating to everyday problems, and finding a solution. I have experience with scheduling patients and assisting with billing issues, verifying insurance benefits, and processing prior authorizations. A couple things I enjoy in my free time are trying new food places, I love seeing the new Marvel movies, and taking my two dogs Koda and Bentley to the park".

"I graduated from Loyola University Chicago with degrees in Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience and Psychology. I have previously worked at a non-profit organization that supported healthy family systems through different assessments and interventions designed to rebuild relationships, trust, and mental health. In this position, I worked on client improvement, data analysis, and grant proposals in their research department to help expand evidence-based treatment. On this team, I gained more knowledge on child behavioral measures, the process of dealing with childhood trauma, and how to serve a community with compassion and understanding. As a Client Care Coordinator, I wish to continue to assist the community by helping clients find the clinician that best fits their needs. I am passionate about providing a hospitable and secure environment for clients as they progress on their journey of personal growth. In my free time, I enjoy reading, finding hidden gems in San Diego, going to concerts, and volunteering in the community".

MFT & Practice Owner
"Jennifer founded Positive Change Counseling Center in 2006. She began seeing clients part-time while working at other mental health programs and quickly grew to love working in a private practice setting where she was able to support her clients with individualized care, rather than a "one treatment fits all" approach. Her experience working with at-risk youth, adults in crisis, veterans, and even her time in a cubicle providing member support for a mental health insurance provider, all helped to shape and create the therapist and business owner that Jennifer has grown to be. From
2009 – 2012 Jennifer worked on a research study utilizing telehealth (video) technology and was amazed at how quickly it began to feel like she was in the same room as her clients. Never in her wildest dreams did she imagine the added value of this experience until the COVID-19 pandemic arrived and our practice had to change from 100% in-person sessions to 100% telehealth overnight! Now Positive Change has grown into four clinic locations throughout San Diego and Ventura counties, offering in-person therapy and telehealth to those in need.
Jennifer is extremely grateful to work alongside such amazing clinicians and incredible support staff at Positive Change Counseling Center. Today she focuses her efforts on hiring highly qualified and compassionate mental health clinicians to provide the best care for our community."
